A Note From Sarah…

Nothing changes you quite like the that of becoming a parent. While spectacular in almost every way and something most of us will go through, parenthood, and especially the transition into becoming a parent, can be a very strange journey to navigate. We all want the best for our children but oftentimes we lose sight of ourselves in the process.

In the fall of 2018, I welcomed my own LittleBird, Jack, into the world. The first few months of motherhood were very isolating for me. The delivery was a difficult one, and the healing is still ongoing.Having Jack in the fall meant we spent the first few months avoiding the cold. I spent hours inside with a newborn, feeling alone but knowing there were so many other women out there like me.

When I did finally venture out with Jack, I found the classes being offered generic and uninspired. I tried to connect with other caregivers but the setting didnt allow for it. With the new strength of motherhood on my side, I decided to create a space where new parents can bond with their child and make their own friends along the way.

I have worked with kids my entire professional life. I was a New York City public school teacher for almost 10 years. I started a non-profit after school center for youth in New Orleans and most recently I worked as an educator and facilitator for an environmental education non-profit. I am well versed in educational pedagogy for all ages and I have experience training adults and leading groups. Im fun and creative, and bring a bit of whimsy to everything do.

Cant wait to meet you, and your LittleBird!
